Hi there! Thanks for visiting my website! My name is Julia Rattai. I am a photographer based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba! 

 

I have always enjoyed taking photos & well... to be honest I have always enjoyed all aspects of photography in general. A friend of mine sparked an interest into making photography my career! I love interacting with clients to make the most of their shoot by creating an enjoyable & fun environment. My main goal is to make sure my clients are comfortable and stress free during their shoot. I feel this atmosphere allows for their true personality to shine through, creating real, raw and meaningful images. 

 

I decided I would upgrade myself and my knowledge of photography by attending Prairie View School of Photography in Winnipeg. I entered their 8 month diploma program, graduating in April 2017! I have grown so much as a photographer and business women thanks to this outstanding school.

 

I always shoot in RAW and in manual mode. All of my post-processing is done with software’s Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. As an artist, the best thing I ever did for myself was to stop comparing my work to that of others; rather than trying to mimic the editing style of someone else, I created my own. My style is bright, bold and full of contrast. My surroundings play a huge role in my photography. I find inspiration in all the nooks and crannies of our shooting location. Every shoot is different. Every family, couple and child are different. Every location is different. All of my clients are special in their own way and I find it very important to find what is special about them and create unique images that represent "them" as who they truly are.
